Scholarship Description:

The 2023–2024 Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program is now accepting applications from Floridians. Postgraduate-level programs in any of the subjects taught at Florida Institutes are eligible for the award. The scholarship application deadline passed on August 31, 2023.

Applications for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship 2023–2024 are being accepted in the US right now. The FBFS Scholarship USA is open to inhabitants of Florida who are either eligible noncitizens or citizens of the United States. After finishing their secondary education, students who want to pursue higher studies can apply for this award.

Types of scholarships

For qualifying students, the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship offers four distinct scholarship choices. Here is a list of the many scholarship categories and their prerequisites:

1. Florida Academic Scholarship (FAS):

- Minimum 3.50 weighted GPA

- Completion of 100 service hours or 100 paid work hours

- Successful completion of 16 high school course credits

- Attainment of a minimum ACT®/SAT® score by June 30th of the high school graduation year 

2. Florida Medallion Scholarship (FMS):

- Minimum 3.00 weighted GPA

- Completion of 75 service hours or 100 paid work hours

- Successful completion of 16 high school course credits

- Attainment of a minimum ACT®/SAT® score by June 30th of the high school graduation year

3. Gold Seal Cape Scholarship (GSC):

- No specific GPA requirement

- Completion of 30 service hours or 100 paid work hours

- Completion of 5 CAPE (Career and Professional Education) post-secondary credit hours

- No required ACT®/SAT® score

4. Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship (GSV):

- Minimum 3.00 weighted GPA in non-elective courses

- Minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA in career education courses

- Completion of 3 full credits in a single Career and Technical Education program

- Completion of 30 service hours or 100 paid work hours

- No specific required courses

- Attainment of a minimum ACT®/SAT® or P.E.R.T. exams score by June 30th of the high school graduation year

Degree Level:

The Florida Institutes Postgraduate Program is open to applicants under the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program 2023–2024, USA.

Scholarship Benefits:

For the 2023–24 school year in the United States, the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship will cover 100% and 75% of the selected students' tuition costs, respectively.


Eligible Nationalities:

The FBFS Scholarship USA is open to all residents of Florida who are either eligible noncitizens or citizens of the United States.


Eligibility Criteria:

After graduating from high school, submit the Florida Financial Aid Application (FFAA) by August 31.
Complete a home education program successfully or obtain a conventional Florida high school diploma from a Florida public high school, a Florida Department of Education (FDOE) registered private high school, or both.

have not entered a plea of nolo contendere or received a felony conviction, unless pardoned by the Governor and Cabinet, who act as the Executive Office of Pardon.

Be accepted and start a degree or certificate program at a public or private postsecondary education facility in Florida that meets the requirements.

Participate in six non-remedial semester credits, or the equivalent in clock hours or quarters, each term.
