Fully Funded Google PhD Fellowship Program 2023/24
Students awarded Google PhD Fellowships are among the most talented young scholars in the world, as acknowledged by Google researchers and their respective universities. Students who best exemplify the direction of research in the following areas are given fellowships:

- Computational Neural and Cognitive Sciences
- Health Research
- Human-Computer Interaction
- Machine Learning
- Machine Perception, Speech Technology, and Computer Vision
- Mobile Computing
- Natural Language Processing (including Information Retrieval and Extraction)
- Privacy and security
- Programming languages and software engineering
- Quantum Computing
- Recommender Systems
- Structured data and database management
- Systems and Networking

Applying to universities in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Africa, and India for fellowship-level programs is possible through the fully funded Google PhD Fellowship Program 2023–2024.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students from Australia and New Zealand, East Asia, Europe, the US, and Canada were nominated.
Only those students who fulfill the following criteria ought to be nominated by universities:
- PhD candidates enrolled full-time in graduate programs at universities in the aforementioned locations
- completed graduate work by the start of the fellowship's academic award year.
- For the term of the fellowship, students must continue to be enrolled full-time in the PhD program; otherwise, they will forfeit the grant.
- Employees of Google, as well as their wives, kids, and household members, are not eligible.
- Students who are not eligible are those who are currently receiving funding from a similar industry prize. Funding from the government or nonprofit organizations is excluded.
- Only in AU/NZ: There is no requirement for graduate courses to be completed by the academic award year for early-stage students enrolling in their first or second year of a PhD.
Students from Africa, India, and Southeast Asia who apply directly
PhD candidates who are enrolled full-time in African, Indian, or Southeast Asian universities
- Professionals and undergraduate or master's students are eligible to apply.
- Applicants for undergraduate and graduate programs must be full-time, current students at an African, Indian, or Southeast Asian university.
- Professionals need to work for or be connected to an organization that is officially registered in Southeast Asia, India, or Africa.
- For these applicants, the fellowship grant is subject to the awardee enrolling full-time in a computer science (or related area) PhD program at an African, Indian, or Southeast Asian institution within the fellowship year; otherwise, the award will be lost.
- The award of the fellowship does not imply acceptance into a university's PhD program. In order to register for a PhD at the specific institute or university, the awardee must also successfully complete the PhD admissions process.
- The regulations and policies in effect at the institution or university where the recipient registers for the PhD program will govern the fellowship's grant.
- For the term of the fellowship, students must continue to be enrolled full-time in the PhD program; otherwise, they will forfeit the grant.
Not eligible are Google workers, their wives, kids, and household members.

Southeast Asian nations Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam are among those eligible for the PhD Fellowship.
